The Plugged Nickel Boulder is between Violin/ Slot Machines Boulders and Single Carot. It sits up on the hill by itself and climbers usually pass by it on the standard trail. This boulder has one problem and it is a worthy pumpy V5. It may strain your fingers due to the crux pockets. If you are climbing in the V5 range this is a great problem to have on your list to climb or project.
Plugged Nickel V5***
This boulder is low-lying and stands roughly twelve feet tall or less very close to Southern Discomfort, Slot Machine, and Violins. Start in a “cave” with a heel and hand on a bulge, left hand on the face on a sloper. Move with right hand up to pockets on face. V5 finish is up and left on a sloper, V3 finish is to the arete on the right. Very powerful problem and a load of fun.
Also, there are variations to this problem which make it harder or easier (like most things in the Rock Maze)
